Rank Update
Written by ironeyes
Saturday, 16 January 2010 17:13

Effective today 1/16/10 The ranking system has changed. This was long overdue and is in effect as we speak.

Changes across the board will help define a more organzied guild. Here is the break down and explanation:

GL-Guild Leader (The Boss)

GL Alt-Guild Leader Alt (Still The Boss)

Asst GL-Assistant Guild Leader (Another Boss)

Asst GL Alt-Assistant Guild Leader Alt (Yes, more bosses)

wowhero

Raid Leader-Geared Tanks capable of handling TOC 10 and up based on wow-heroes information. Tanks are expected to know the fights better than anyone and thus they must lead the Raid. Can schedule raids to the calender. Has elevated guild bank rights. 1g per week minimum donation to the GB.

Raid Captain-Any geared TOC 10 capable and up player who is level headed, knows fights and will spend time researching fights for future raids. Can schedule raids on the calender. Has elevated banks rights. 1g per week donation to the GB weekly.

Raid Soldier-Any geared TOC 10 and up capable player. Expected to take part in all scheduled raids if possible. Has extended guild bank rights. 1g donation to the GB per week.

Heroic Adventurer-Level 80 and working on getting geared up for the Raid Team. These players may be capable of many raids but not quite enough for TOC 10 and up. Extended Bank rights.

Adventurer- Still leveling. Any level between 1-79. Adventurers are the only rank that have the ability to use guild funds for repairs! Hope this helps ya!

Recruit-New to the guild and on trial. Normal wait time is 1-2 weeks for promotion.

Please view your rights and powers of your rank in more detail by using the guild tab in game.

I will be reviewing wow-heroes weekly and auto promoting people based on that information. If you are a geared 80 and do not wish to be part oft he raid team please let me know that asap and I will demote you down. There will be no expectations for raiding if that's your preference.

Also, the formation of the raid team in no way means you can't be a part of a raid if you aren't on that team. The team is for the geared "Elite" players in the guild to start raid progression. If you are not on the team you cannot come to those events however we will still be doing raids that will include all 80's. We will also be doing some random lower end raids for the acheivements and to help out the adventurer ranks.

Please see the current poll on site and vote concerning a separate raiding guild for the geared heroes! A decision will be made on this by February.

Thx-iron

Guild News -

Some changes are headed our way people. I have been reviewing the guild and our activity. We have a very diverse crowd here in TDC and I would like to address all of you. I watch activity levels and how people play. Based on some research we can safely say we are NOT a hardcore raiding guild, and that's fine. Hardcore raiding guilds are very demanding. I don't want to head off in that direction but I do want to step up our game for raiding.

From a "progression" standpoint we are toward the bottom of the pack. Have you ever been asked: "What's your guilds progression?" I have many times by potential new comers and my answer is always the same: We are a casual raiding guild and we are just starting progression. So what's progression? Progression is our accomplishments as a guild for 10 and 25 man raiding. You can check this on wow-heroes. We are currently sitting at 238 on the realm. I would like to see us move forward with it. In order to do this we need a core team of 10 with several backup on board.

In order to progress as a guild and move up in rank on the realm we need to look at stepping back and doing some lower difficulty raids. Here is the progression order--->

NAXX 10
OS 10
EOE 10
ULD 10
ONY 10
TOC 10
ICC 10

I have been looking at our highest ranking players based on gear scores and acheivements (skill level) and I am compiling a potential core team. I will be contacting individuals over the next week or two about this. I am going to open positions for raid leaders and decorated officers. I may change the ranking system to reflect a restructure. I will interview the most powerful players in the guild for these positions. Keep in mind once the team is formed, we will not be going hardcore. I have no intention of forgetting about our lower level people. The team will simply be the "elite" of the guild and the chosen ones for progression. It will be semi casual. No huge expectations or demands. There will be requirements such as researching the fights and keeping with the raid schedule. More will follow on this.

As for our lower level people, we will be doing some random raiding for the 55+ crowd. Our 80's will be involved for acheivement purposes and fun factor. The 55+ players will earn gear and loot and get to do some of these raids which they would otherwise never see. Naturally the 80's will be making the runs much faster than if it were all 55+ in the raid. In these raids it is my hope that it will inspire the lower level players to forge ahead to 80 and get involved with raiding at that level.

Players under level 55 will require some help form time to time so please do your best to give them a hand.

So, you leet 80's...expect to be hearing from me soon.  -iron
